View Full Version : MC: Server Down?
Hopefully this thread won't get used much. ;)
Server is down, btw.
Still down? Or is it just me having problems connecting?

Still down, just tried it myself.
I'm picturing stranded enthusiasts picking up the nearest garden implement and looking speculatively at the walls of their homes.....

My diamond shovel doesn't work even remotely as well as a MC one. My flint and steel, however, do. :D
Stupidly busy day at work today, guys. Sorry, but I can't check in on this until I get home around 7 PM EDT.
S'okay. I guess I can be productive IRL for a while. ;)
Game's up guys. :)
I followed a cheat sheet Brad gave me a while back.
What happened? Software thing or hardware thing? Just curious.
Wasn't hardware but I don't know what it was. I've sent Brad a copy of what I found in the session when I got there. He'll have to sort it out.
Game's up guys. :)
I followed a cheat sheet Brad gave me a while back.
Thank god! Some of these guys were actually about to get some work done in real life...
Seriously. I reconnected with my family, made some cookies, filled the huge hole in my backyard that I dug the last time the server was down.... what a productive day!
Is, um, minecraft.net down for anybody else? It's not letting me log into my account at all. And the site isn't loading for me, either.

It's loading to an utterly blank page for me. Server's fine though.
EDIT: Take that back. Can't connect to the server after it restarted (:wtf: :grumble: !!!). I guess I got on before MC.net went down...
EDIT 2 @ 4:56: Back! :)
C'mon guys. Minecraft.net goes down or is overloaded at least once a day. If you post in this thread every time that happens, we'll max out vbulletin's per thread post limit! :p

Really? That's never happened to me. But I'm still a n00b. :)
Sorry, I didn't realize it was a regular occurrence.
Oh man. Most evenings and weekends until a few weeks ago it would be down for hours and hours on end! It was brutal. Over the past few weeks it seems to have gotten much better, but I still occasionally get the timeout error on launch.

Minecraft.net seems to be down. Sigh.
Edit: Or not. :)

Server down?
Getting Connection Refused...
This was the thread I was looking for!
Me too.
I took the server offline for about 20 minutes while I was surgically modifying a chunk to restore Smith Manor. No one was online at the time; so, I figured that was the best time for the outage. Been back up for the past half hour or so.
Yep, it's up now. I am in but all alone. :( :p
I just took the server down for a nail-biting ~30 minutes while I fixed a corrupt world data file. All is well now and the server is back up.

See what happens when you play too much god and make all those chickens come after me?
Server connection sucks for all of you right now. Not sure why but my upload is only showing 1.3Mbps which is nothing close to my 35Mbps I normally have.
Support (me) is investigating and will post an update an soon as one is known. Thank you for your patiences and understanding in this time of trouble. :p

You The Man, T. Thanks for digging into this issue and resolving it so quickly. :)
Router enema complete:
I'm wondering if the router might need another enema. I've been online a lot today, and I've been regularly having blocks regenerate on me, and warping is really slow. It's not constantly slow, but occasionally it really drags, despite me being the only one online. Mind looking into this tonight, T? :)
I got home and re-flashed the router and updated the configuration. Hopefully that will take care of the issue. Feel free to test it out. :)
You're welcome! Glad I could do this...shame I had to wait until I got home from work to do this. Something about administering my router via a work connection just strikes me as having poor taste. Especially since it is a hosting company. :p
So I didn't remember to do a Speedtest before re-flashing but here is the post flash results:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1367141925.png (http://www.speedtest.net)
Now I have noted that this happened right at 30 days ago. Let's see if it happens this time next month. If it does I'm going to have to look at a better router.
FYI, I'm taking the server down briefly to try the beta 1.7 update...
Updated! We're now running beta 1.7.2. :) Please update your client (and texture pack!!) before reconnecting.
It works. :) I was on a for a little bit but have to jet. Fun times thinking about how I'm going to use pistons....

Right... so either the white list is borked or well you don't like me very much...
However: it is superfantasticfun to 'fly' by stacking TNT really quickly beneath me, only to have it disappear and the server boot me.
Looking into it... the permissions plugin did undergo a major version change. I thought I checked everything, but I might have missed some bits.
Aha! Yes, permissions for regular members was horked. Please try again now. :)

Wait? Is flying finally allowed??
I have a simple pistons project already lined up.
Has anyone checked if the block duplication bug is present in 1.7.2 SMP?
Apparently, yes. It's expected to be patched soon, though.
Get to diamond block farming, guys!

Oh noes... He broke it... He might be a lighting strike.
Nevermind.
It wasn't me! Looks like you got booted for a restart of the server. Not sure why you didn't get notice. Brad, any idea?
Server is still boinked, btw (at least since I noticed it in the screenshot thread).
Huh. My screen session is dead for some reason. That does not bode well! I'll fire up a new one and restart the game server. Hopefully it exited cleanly...
Nope. Someone tripped over the power cable (uptime indicates the hardware recently power cycled) and the ramdisk is gone. When I get home in a bit, I'll reinitialize it and restore the last world backups. It looks like the last successful full backup was this morning at 0600.
Ugh.
Well, at least it didn't happen during the block dupe bug ;) (or during the skyranch overbuild ).

Brad Are You Done Yet Because I Want To Go On And Win At Minecraft Again Tonight And You Are Slowing Me Down You Bad.
::stupid all-caps prevention routine i hate you::
...
I have world maps as of about 9:30 AM when I took a snap shot to be able to put up new maps for everyone. :)
On the bright side, it wasn't me that tripped on the power cord. It was my 17 year old who was thoughtful enough to turn off the breaker so that she could change out a ceiling fan.
I'm very grateful for her doing the fan, though had no idea because I was at work.
Looks like the hardware rebooted around at 15:33:24 EDT, for what it's worth. The last syslog message before then was at 14:25:59 EDT and doesn't show indication of a standard soft shutdown. Did someone actually trip over the power cord? :)
It was my 17 year old who was thoughtful enough to turn off the breaker so that she could change out a ceiling fan.
That's great! I'm working on restoring the 0600 backup now. Did you save the 0930 copy somewhere else?
Why didn't you use the saveworld.sh backup script I created? Use that and it'll pause the game properly and archive the files in the same location as the rest of the backups.
The backup I have is in my home folder on the server Brad. Again, at least it's from 9:30 AM.
My daughter said she had the power off for between one and two hours. My battery backup isn't going to hold that long. Sorry guys. Now I need to go be nice to her because I haven't been since finding out what she did.

Punishment should consist of staking a claim in AppleNovaland and constructing her first mine and home. ;)
I wouldn't sweat it. Not much could have been lost from a few hours midday, amirite?
More importantly, how many kids do you have? I was under the impression you had a couple of youngins, not a whole pack that are old enough to turn off breakers. :D
(Though, good for her for her foresight into not getting zapped, but she should probably learn the wonders of a breaker box instead of shutting the whole thing down) ;)
I wouldn't sweat it. Not much could have been lost from a few hours midday, amirite?I'm going to have to re-scrub and sterilize everywhere I thought Bryson may have sat down. :(
Server is back online! :) It's running a dark hybrid of the overworld circa 9:30 AM and the nether circa 6:00 AM.

Why didn't you use the saveworld.sh backup script I created? Use that and it'll pause the game properly and archive the files in the same location as the rest of the backups.
I was on the way to work and wanted to get a quick pull. I happened to have the FTP client opened on Beast to Lenny. I had just logged out of MC after placing the torches on the bridge so I just wanted a quick snapshot on the way out to work. Normally I use the backups to pull from. In general though I'm writing the script to run your script, then copy it to Beast, process the maps then rsync results.
New map with lights on bridge is up now too for that matter. Although I'm seeing an odd chunk missing on my bridge... gonna do another attempt to fix this.
So after 14 days of uptime this time my router needed a reboot. Not a reflash as I've had to do in the past, but it did need a reboot. Granted, I'm doing a torrent that's 9GB right now but QoS puts the priority to the game. However too much is too much. So I'm going to need to look at other high throughput options for a router in the near future. No big deal, just though you might like to know.
Elysium was the only user on when I noticed the issue so hopefully no one else was impacted this time.
Server is down right now. House is without power so the world is going to have to be set to the last backup saved. What's worse is I'm at work and won't be home until far later.
Power has finally been restored at my house so now it's a matter of getting into the server fro Brad and restarting everything. The server is up and running just not the game I'd imagine.
I'm on my iPad at work though so I really have no idea.
Woot. I'll try connecting and reinitializing the game. :)
And we're running! All is well with today's 6 AM backup restored.
And we're running! All is well with today's 6 AM backup restored.Phew! I made some progress on the roof last night and was a little worried that it'd be borked. Thanks! :)
Just went back down. Are people tripping over power cords? ;)
Just went back down. Are people tripping over power cords? ;)
Scratch that. Back up. Looks like turtle is having network connectivity issues. Just got a fresh IP, it seems.
We lost power again during that post Brad. I was also still at work but the battery backup held for that outage as it was relatively brief.
I have no idea why we had such power issues today. Thankfully we have a good backup system in place though. :) Wonder if we can get a script that takes the feed from the UPS and triggers the backup script to run...

I'm pretty sure that when you buy one, the other is included, just for that reason :)
What's funny is I've been considering getting a generator for stuff like this. :\ I have no shotgun...does this (http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?p=625632#post625632) count?
Wonder if we can get a script that takes the feed from the UPS and triggers the backup script to run...
Actually, yes. :) Some UPSes have a USB or serial port for exactly this purpose. One can initiate notifications or clean shutdown procedures based on the state given by the UPS. I have a coworker who does exactly this with his UPS at home. Admittedly, it's one of the more expensive devices...

I have it set up on my personal machines because they interface easy with the UPS. Didn't think about configuring it on Lenny. It's an APC Back-UPS XS 1500. I need to find a USB cable for it, but once I do I'll connect it so we can get the jobs figured out for it.
i know who i am riding with when the zombie apocalypse comes.
You are more than welcome to do so. :)
FYI, I got the UPS connected to the server via the USB cable, now it just needs to get programmed to work with it. :p I found one app that looks like it'll do it, but haven't really been able to study it much. apcupsd if you were wondering.

ummm, is the server down? i keep getting connection refused
Looks like it. I just checked and got refused as well.
Sorry guys, lightning has fried in ground wiring and they are going through replacing cables in my neighborhood. Seems today they killed it again. I'm going to get with Brad and see if we can't get me trained on how to get the server back up. I just don't recall though he did show me at one time.
I do apologize. I was at work again when they killed it.
Oh, and I have an idea for getting the backups run when power drops. Going to try to get it installed and running today. The plan being any time power drops and APC kicks in the backup script is run. I'll post here once it's in place.
Edit: anyone know a good tool/utility to run scripts once the power drops?
I'm restoring now! Was out to dinner earlier.
Game is back online with today's 6 AM backup.
I'll send you some restoration notes shortly, T.
Thanks.
Edit: Also for everyone, see my edit above where I'm trying to find a tool/utility to run a script once power is lost.
I wonder if we shouldn't set the backups at every 3 instead of 6 hours during Irene? Given how fragile the server is lately it might not be a bad call. I'd have hated life today if I was on and lost a full days worth of work. :\
I'm ok with that, though we'll need to start pruning the backup dir fast after that. It'll start adding up quick.
If I can get this script thing working out I can force a back up once power is lost at the house. This would prevent the issue from being an issue.
FYI, I just backed up the server and will run a backup if power should go out as soon as it does. Feel free to work in the world until you get booted due to power loss, should that happen. :) I'm riding this out out at home even though they wanted me to be at work today.
Just lost power. Backup script run. Anything more is at your own risk of losing your work.

...
Yeah, I'm one of the 300,000 or so who's lost power. Might be a bit before I get it back sadly. I'm connecting now via a tether of my Tilt2 and my iPad.
You should all contact FEMA and express your concern over the severity of the issue at hand and get my power back. :p
Server is back up! For now! :)
turtle, I moved/edited/added some scripts so you can recover the server more easily if I'm not around.
/opt/minecraft/scripts/backup_restore_latest.sh - Run this after a server reboot if we lose the /mnt/ramdisk contents. It will use the latest world backup files according to the symlinks to expand and restore the contents.
/opt/minecraft/scripts/backup_saveworld.sh - Mostly the same as the old saveworld.sh script, but in a new location. I symlinked the old path to this one so no automated jobs should break. The script now aborts/exits prematurely if the server's world directory doesn't exist. This prevents the symlinks from pointing to empty tgz files.
/opt/minecraft/scripts/server_kickstart.sh - Manage a backgrounded screen session named "minecraft" running server_run.sh.
/opt/minecraft/scripts/server_run.sh - Start the MC server. You'll generally not want to run this directly; use server_kickstart.sh instead.
Is the server down atm? Or did my prefs get wonked because I switched back to 1.7 .... ? I copied and replaced the entire App Support folder - hopefully I didn't break it.
Server appeared to be running. I just restarted it for good measure, though. Try now.
Do you get an error message?
"Took too long to log in" is what I'm getting. Retyped the server name for good measure, but still no-go.
[edit]: "End of stream" this time.
Server says:
14:48:51 [INFO] Disconnecting /XX.XX.XX.XX:64014: Took too long to log in

Hmm.... I wonder if this is happening because MC.net is overwhelmed... I've turned off authentication for now. Try again!
There we go. Thanks Brad!
Gawd. Reminded me of the old days when MC.net was always down. :grumble: Hey Notch! Spend a percent of what you made from MC for some servers that can handle your user base! Fucking George Lucas of gaming, you.
I'm having a hard time getting in right now...and I'm local! It's not Lenny's fault, this is MC.net even getting me into the game. :(
Server appears to have just gone belly up, and I can't even SSH in. Network down?
Awww. I'd just mined stairs down to the bottom of the chasm too. Abandoned mines galore! Blue spider spawner in the open!
All is not lost. I ran the backup script from my iPad here at work when my bride texted me about the power loss. I didn't post because I am at work. I'll let you know when power comes back.
Ah, OK. Thanks for the update, T! :)
Just got texted that power is back.
OK, I'll kick off the restore. Thanks!

Hmm... just restarted the server, but I'm having trouble connecting too. Looks like MC.net might just be getting slammed again, resulting in the login never properly establishing.

Sorry guys, but it was definitely an issue with Minecraft and not Lenny. If it were Lenny we could fix it faster at least. :p
Yeah, Jeb and Tobias confirmed that the auth servers were having issues yesterday and today. Not sure if/when/what was the resolution.
edit: Tobias claims to have resolved the issue this morning.
These IT people that sleep through the weekend and the bumbling developer that lucked into gold are really getting on my fucking nerves.
If anyone was on a few moments ago I do apologize but I had to reboot my router. Only a short interruption of service, and it was unplanned. All should be good by now again though.
Server is down.
While everyone was still sleeping I went ahead and did the hardware work to get the drive into Lenny. Seems I keep getting an error trying to get the game started up again. No ETR at this time.
Should be back up now. Not sure that Nether is right, but I figured out the main world. I'm working from my iPhone right now so I can't verify it is up other than the logs.

And we are back live on the new SSD!
Seeeerious lag. I ran into this last week too with placed blocks not keeping up....
wtf? I thought the SSD would remedy this. Apparently not.
Rebooted the router. Let's see how this holds for you.
FWIW, the only times I recall seeing reappearing blocks have been for just a minute or two at the top of certain hours, presumably when one of the world backup scripts is running.
Network is going to be going in and out for the next few hours. Lenny will be fine, connection to him won't.

Server went down due to power outage at home but it is back. We ran the backup script at power loss. I just shelled in and kickstarted the server. All should be well though 709 would know best if something isn't right since he was the last one one that I know of.

Down again.
Does Lenny have a Drama detector?
Back up!
Not sure why it was actually down but I got in there and restarted the game. Server itself is fine, seems like there might be some bugs with the new version. We'll tough it out for now. ;)
Yeah, my guess it that something must be hinky about the new serner version or the new Bukkit version or one/some of the plugins we have installed. I may dig into this shortly and start disabling nonessential plugins as a first attempt to resolve.
Down, now.
It was actually SNOWING on one side of my mountain retreat when it went down.
...
Yep, this is a new bugfix with the 1.1 release. Now cold biomes like taiga, not just the dedicated "snow" biome, get snow when the weather kicks in. There are a few areas getting snow now that didn't before, including Spec's mountain and an area around the FMS near the mall.
So the server never actually went down during the power outage guys. You can all come back. I have power again. :)
Just restarted. Same weird issue as before where the server is still running but just stops responding.
I may try to write a script that will attempt to communicate with the server and kill/restart it if it appears to have hung...

I'm guessing you couldn't get in? No one was on when I checked so I went ahead and rebooted the router. Give it a shot and see if you are able to get in now. I was able to get into the server on the local network no problem so might have been a router reboot needed.

that fixed it i believe -- i couldn't even see the server.
Put this post where it better fits. (http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?p=749210#post749210)
Just got entirely kicked off just then.

Same here.
Sorry guys. My bad. Made a tweak that I didn't think was going to force a reboot. I'll not be making those much again though so we should be good from here out.
It doesn't say the server's down, but it's not letting me log in. :(
It's not letting me log in either but it shows someone is on there now. Looks like might be an MC issue.
Edit: Yeah, my error is "Unable to verify username."
So here I was working my way through AN and my RSS feeds and got dropped offline. Ended up having to reboot the new router...
Not a good sign for the long haul. I'll let you know if I'm forced to make any more changes.
I'm taking the server down now for MC 1.2 upgrade...

damn refresh button isn't doing anything!
Brad wants to dispose of us like a sack full of unwanted guinea pigs.
HUh? It's working for me....
It just went down for me. :(
Never mind, back up.
Server is currently down, as apparently is also SSH. So, I can't get in for the moment...
edit: and www (http://mc.applenova.com) is down too. Looks like the whole thing is tanked!

You're not the only cowpoke what can't get in.
Everybody goes to bed early tonight.
...
Wait, I thought you took it down on purpose...no?
Wait, I thought you took it down on purpose...no?
Almost, but not quite! The server actually cut out before I had a chance to work my planned magic (was going to switch us over to Bukkit). I had an SSH session open in my terminal and it all just went belly up before I had a chance to really do anything.
Oooh, not good.
I think maybe a baby Turtle chewed through the cable.
FWIW, I was going to update to Bukkit to see if I might have a shot at setting up a Creative Day soon by configuring the permissions so Turtle or I don't have to be around to manually assign/unassign the creative mode. This weekend is probably out of the picture (I actually have to be at work on Saturday), but some time next week or the following weekend (Saturday 24th?) should be go for launch!
On a related note, the automatic drop-clearing plugin has long been abandoned and is completely broken with the recent Bukkit builds. So, like I did with WorldWarp, this evening I wrote a new plugin from scratch (https://github.com/infinitewarp/SimpleAutoRemoveDrops).
So my network is back up. Not sure why it went down but rebooted the components between Lenny and Verizon and all is well now. Sorry for the long down time, I was in bed when I got the text and didn't even hear it.
Thanks, T! :) I'll give the Bukkit upgrade another shot later tonight.
Router had to be rebooted again after getting home. Looking bad for this current router software.
PM me if you are unable to pull up the web site at http://mc.applenova.com and can't see the game server. I get emailed PM notifications. Also going to look at setting up an email alias for texting me. I'll keep y'all posted on that.
Sorry for your downtime guys. This new router set up is supposed to make things better. :\
So I set up an alias. Please do not abuse it as it does send a text to my phone. I'm doing this so it can minimize downtime for you guys. Of course I'm sure there will be times when I get messages from more than one person, but if you do message me for an outage please post here so it will minimize repeated notifications.

Obviously, if this gets abused it will go away. Let me know if you have any questions via PM.
"Broken Pipe" .... so there's that. ? PM sent. :)
Yeah, seem like the router just cut the connection. It was still up, but not letting data through. Rebooted. Sorry for the boot guys.
I'm looking into new router software now. Seems this option wasn't a good one. This is actually the second reboot today. :(

Server just went down. Guessing more of the same error?
Yep, router needed reboot. Sorry guys. Looking for a replacement now. It's back up. Down time under 2 minutes.

Yeah, I got back on briefly. :)
Barf. Tis off again.
I emailed the alias, let's see if it works! :)
I was on my way to finding that diamond again. phooey
edit: It's back on!
It's back. Sorry 'bout this. Still working to get a solid replacement. :(
It was the email alias that worked. Due to the drop I didn't get notice from this thread. Thanks for using it. Really, at least I could get it back up with only 11 minutes of downtime.
My wife just informed me the router is down again. It will be rebooted when she gets back home since I'm at work. I'm going to get the old router in place some time tonight. Expect down time again after 5pm while I make the switch.
Old router is ready to go back in. Once we get clear from who's on now it's coming down. I hope to keep down time under 20 minutes. 5 is my dream.
Edit: That's starting now!
We are live again. Please let me know if there are any other issues.
Sorry. :( It was me.
Router did a reboot with no warning. And this is the old more stable one. We are live again.
Sorry guys, my Internet is down right now. working to get it back up if it's in my power to do so.

Yikes. No worries if there's, like, a power outage or something. We'll survive :)
And as always, thx for running the server and dealing with its poops.
Don't listen to this guy! Tether your iPhone to the server! We need our fix! *itch itch*
We are back! Verizon said it was investigating an outage...
Thanks. I hope it holds. I'm heading to bed to snuggle with my wife!

I think it just went poof again. Ah, well.
It says the server is still up, it just times out when I try to log in. Weird.
Edit: There we go! Try logging in now Spec.
If it shows it is still there then it's an issue with MC.net. Also, try going to the server with http like looking over archived maps on the server. If you can see the maps, then the connection issue lies with MC.net, though occasionally it could be with the game server itself, though this is not normal.

To clarify my post last night - I got booted from the server, and when I tried to log back in, the server was showing as offline (even after quitting and restarting the MC client). It was about bedtime anyway, so I didn't try to get back on after that.
Oh, well, it's definitely possible that Verizon dropped the connection again.
So I was looking through my router logs and someone from Korea has been trying to get into our server. I currently have that country blocked due to repeated hack attempts. So, please post here if you are a member of our forum trying to connect from Korea. You can PM me your IP and I'll add a new rule allowing you.
Wait, has the server been up all day? I've tried to get on a few times today and it keeps on showing the server is down for me, but no one has posted in this thread about it. I'm not in Korea though, I promise :D
Yep, no down time. PM me your IP or use the email address and I'll check to see if you're in that list. The email will be faster.
mc at (My former username) dot com
So it seems you managed to fit in the 4000+ IPs that are in the middle of the Korean IP set. Anyway, I did see that IP was actually a US IP and opened it. You should be able to get in now. I'm sure it was you.
OK, thanks. :) Things are pretty crazy but I'll pop on when I have some downtime (and when my sister isn't playing on her laptop, haha).
Now I have an impostor trying to get in!
Disconnecting turtle945 [/184.5.xxx.xxx:13187]: You are not white-listed on this server!

Curses, foiled again!
:p
But seriously, WTF? :wtf:
I'm going to be changing DNS providers in the near future for my domain. This may impact your access to the Maps. I'm pretty sure it won't impact the server but wanted to make sure everyone knew.
Since the weekend is some of the highest usage, I won't be making the change until late Sunday or Monday. I've set my current records for a 1 hour TTL so the worst case is you would have to wait an hour and try again.
Short version: Maintenance in the near future. Possible 1 hour outage.

Hmmm....
Another player is on right now and I'm pulling it fine. What do you see when you go to mc.applenova.com with a browser? Do you see the server as not listed in the MC launcher?

Bugger, the minecraft.net login server seems to be down.
You can still play using your web browser.
Try now. I also updated bukkit to the latest build while I was in there.
Sorry guys but I was out of town. I got into the server 2 minutes before Brad did. He's thankfully faster than me though. :p
Authentication Servers are down now. Just like clockwork for a weekend.
Server down! I got booted about 5 minutes ago and the server is still unresponsive. Someone tripped over the power cable!
Nope. Whole house doesn't have Internet. Working to figure out why and fix it if I can.
Posting from your phone? :)
It's funny how internet access has become a utility like water and electricity in that we needs it and losing it prompts quick recovery actions.
Yep, it was Verizon. Right after I posted from my iPhone (once I remembered to turn off WiFi on it :p) I was able to get online. I did nothing...
Or was it my super admin skilz? :D
Huzzah! Thanks for the quick response, T. :D
No problem. Glad I could.

Thinking minecraft.net is down. Of course.
EDIT: Or just having a hiccup.
Power outage just hit. No idea how long it will last. I'm heading to bed soon though...
FYI
So Lenny never went down however it seems the MC.net is down with the major outage Amazon is facing. I have disabled the verification on our server for now. You all should be able to play again.
Something seriously weird is happening on the server. Random chunks of land have popped up everywhere and intersected structures. :|
I'd advise everyone to halt building until we can figure out what happened.
[edit]: I looks like the mayhem is happening around recent builds. The Museum and Planetarium area is a mess, and Brad's new Mario island is completely gone.
There's probably more, but I'm not sure who's been building where recently.
If it helps to diagnose, I lost my inventory twice today out of the blue (no biggie since it was mostly stone), but it was certainly odd.
It's ugly! Don't go in there!
