View Full Version : Adobe Won't Upgrade Me to CS5.5
I just bought Adobe's CS5 Master Collection in March, just before they announced the CS5.5 update. Yesterday I inquired with Adobe about getting a free upgrade to CS5.5 and they say that my order doesn't qualify for the free upgrade but that they'd give me 25% off as a "goodwill gesture". Should I be angry and fist-bangy or should I take what I've been offered?
It's kind of a slap in the face to spend that much more money after JUST having paid to upgrade.
Adobe are assholes, plain and simple. Take the 25%, because they aren't going to give you any more than that.
Pirate it and be done with them.
Or turn the other cheek and get the discount...
One of the many reason to hate Abode.
The other question to ask is: What does 5.5 have over your current version that makes it a compelling upgrade for you?
Thanks for the heads up. I bought CS5 in February, and have been meaning to call to see what my options were.
Adobe is now worse than Quark was, and their fall will be spectacular (and satisfying) to watch.
