good stuff!
How can I as a prospective customer be sure that you won't abandon the plank market if the initial sales are a bit slow?
:p

That's an easy answer: support the plank!! Become a developer. One of you already has.... "Developer X" participates right here on AppleNova from time to time!!!! Let the guessing begin. I won't out "Developer X" though... that's up to him/her!!

When does the white plank come out?

That's another thing! rPlank™ can be ANY color you want it to be.
...
Assuming that Brown is what everyone wants?
Zune made that mistake, too. ;)

Did Zune have a Stereoscopic Zoetrope? I think NOT, sir.
Also: rPlank™ runs on UNIX.
I can't back that up.
...
Our office could use a few if those, do you take large orders?
I'll believe it when it ships.
Vaporrrrrrrrrrrr warrrrrrrre! Yar.
Well, shit, Drew. I think Amazon is already trying to rip off your design.

But, you guys, I really did HONESTLY write a book.
It's a VERY REAL book and it has pictures and comedy and running gags and everything.... tell them, Brad, TELL THEM!!!!
There's a color softcover for $40
http://www.lulu.com/commerce/index.php?fBuyContent=11074129
and a digital version in the iBookstore for $9.99

A bit late to this, but a deserved bump for for the link which provided me with minutes of excellent entertainment after lunch.
Great product, stellar video launch.
A pity that the Zoetrope app is unavailable at the moment - it adds so much. Fingers crossed that another one will be available before Christmas.

Thanks AWR, it was a fun project FILLED with unexpected lessons. The actual exposure of the project was a disappointment. The video has been up for a month with only 2000 hits or so, and none of the technology sites picked it up. I tried to get it noticed on several with no luck. Worse yet, one seemingly well placed person* pointedly ignored several great opportunities to mention it, and other Facebook "friends" who I felt pretended it never existed. One of those folks is raising money on kickstarter for a book of his own and I gave $30 to his project yesterday just so that I wouldn't be the smaller person.
So many lessons about how hard it is to create something viral, and to expect your friends to help. The Internet is a busy, busy place.
I'm going to write an article about the experience, but for now I'm on to new things. :/
* nobody here, for the record

Not sure when it happened, but the book is now available from Amazon.com! (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=RPlank+&x=0&y=0)
Also from Barnes & Noble online.
The Amazon page has a good "Click to Preview" of a lot of pages from the book :)
