Does anyone make an All-in-One inkjet (including Fax) that only prints black?

We need to replace our fax machine in the office, and it would be handy to have it serve as another scanner and printer as well.

But we already have a really good colour printer, so we just need the fax/secondary printer to print black only.
No sense having to buy a second set of expensive colour cartridges.

Didn't see any at Staples, so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm not aware of any black-only inkjets. HP makes a few B&W LaserJet AIO units. I have the M1212nf, and there are one or two models above that as well. They're quite affordable--I paid $129 to HP directly a few months ago. You need to wait for sales/coupons to line up well to get the best price.

You really should be looking at a laser if you are wanting black only. Brother makes some good cheap laser printer/fax/scanner things. It would be my recommendation. HP has better quality but with the price.

I wouldn't bother looking for an inkjet. Something more like this. (http://www.staples.com/Brother-IntelliFAX-2840-Laser-Plain-Paper-Fax/product_890785)

I've had a Brother 7840W (http://www.staples.com/Brother-Refurbished-EMFC-7840W-Laser-Multi-Function-Printer/product-nr_819921) for a couple of years and it's been very reliable. (knock on wood!)

Looks like it's been discontinued but something in the Brother lineup, like turtle suggested, would be good.

Thanks guys. I saw the Brother machines at Staples, but I hesitated, because I've always been more familiar with Canon/Epson/HP.

The print quality wasn't really my concern (since it's a secondary printer), it was the quality of the scanner.
We are, after all, doing graphic design work.

Anyone have quality issues with scans, or are all these things basically the same quality now?
