I wanted to buy some rollerball pens the other day and was shocked to see how a few pens cost a pretty penny.

Is this a new trend or did I miss something?

I realize that the economy has changed, but wowsers

So I'm looking for some advice on the best quality/cost product available.... any of you people a pen guru?

I bought one of these Ti-Click PRO from these people http://www.bigidesign.com off of Kickstarter a few months back. Love it so far. It's a great pen that matches my MBP beautifully. I always use it so I decided to go with something nice and I love that fact that I can pick the refill so I can get the width and ink type I prefer.

Someone gave me a Tombow Ultra as a gift a few years ago. It's pretty nice. Think it's about $25 which seems okay I guess. Not really a pen guru though.

Man, you guys must be RICH!!

I was actually talking about regular old Uniball pens!! LOL

But if this thread wants to turn into a "Cool Pen" thread then I won't stand in the way :)

Ha! To be honest I stopped using that pen when the ink ran out. I generally prefer disposables. My bank gives out pens like candy so I've been using those lately. I guess they feel bad not paying any interest!

Haha, I'm more or less a sucker for stuff on Kickstarter if it's appealing and I'm drunk

Not a rollerball, but I exclusively use this (http://www.sharpie.com/enCA/Pages/stainless-steel-pen.aspx), this (http://www.sharpie.com/enCA/Pages/stainless-steel-marker.aspx) and these (http://palominobrands.com/product/palomino-blackwing-602/#tab-description).
