I lost track of the Apple/HP deal, but could THIS (http://reviews.cnet.com/iRiver_iHP-120_20GB/4505-6490_7-30571493.html?ttag=cnts0510) be the rumored device from HP? The buttons are all weird and small, but the screen looks familiar. (Battery indicator, progress bar, Artist/song info, and maybe the menu.) It is 20GB and about the same size.

Or am I making this up? :p

Nope this isn't the HPod.

iRiver's line of HDD MP3 players are called iHP and have nothing to do with Hewlett Packard at all.

The more pertinent question is, when are the HP iPods coming out? It seems like ages ago they were announced.

The HP branded iPods are supposed to come out this summer, I can only assume they will wait to release them for the back to school season. I do know that all new HPs will come standard with ITMS already installed on them. And the HP iPod is just like the current ones only HP Blue and has the HP logo on the back rather that iPod.

I remember seeing a picture of the HP-pod back awhile ago. It's HP blue if I remember correctly.

I like my iPod though, wouldn't give it up for anything! My computer before I bought my current G4 PowerBook was an HP Pavillion, ok for a PC, but I love my PowerBook so much more.

It'll be interesting to see how the HP-pod sells compared to the iPod. I wonder what they'll charge for it too.. :\

I think a blue iPod would be cool. I might get one since my current iPod is a breaking piece of crap. Or just wait for new iPods to come out so I don't have to use all those asinine touch controls.
