there it is...it's there....take it..add it to our smilies, you know you want to, I know I want you to, come on, what are you waiting for? all the cool kids are doing it!

I feel like nebegakid or something, but seriously, I really need this smiley to properly function on a web-forum, is it really too much to ask?

Actually, the 'real' one (ala Spart) is: http://personali-trees.com/grey/slanty.gif

...and I humbly request that the powers that be add Mr.Speechless as well: http://personali-trees.com/grey/tinymouth2.gif

ACTUALLY, the one I linked to was used by AI before the vB switch, the one you linked to was the one that was created after that switch and they needed new icons.

I like this one a lot too.

it can't be ":/" because then whenever someone typed in a URL you'd get "http:\/www.thatisghey.com/" :p

Smilie added you demanding bastards.

can we change the order of the smilies? When using safari if you have too many animated smilies it eats CPU... to combat this we should try to limit the number of animated smilies on the reply page...

I humbly suggest:

:) :D ;)
:( :\ :p
:o cool confused
mad lol devil
err grumble eek

this leaves: rolleyes, no, smokey and alternates: wow / eek
OFF the page, which reduces the number of animated smilies from 5 to err 5...
hmmm...
maybe we do need that speechless smilie... :| (http://personali-trees.com/grey/tinymouth2.gif)

switch it with the err or eek smilie in the above list... or maybe lol... I really think it would help with sluggishness on safari...

Mr.Speechless would be a grand addition to our emotic soiree. Used correctly he is either the height of hilarity or has the pensiveness of gods.

For the animation problems, I'd suggest installing pithHelmet and setting the amount of times an animated GIF repeats to one. As for the speechless smilie, I need to know what the text is that triggers it. Like: :speechless:

Ok, well, one is eeek and one is surprised. Should I eliminate one or replace one? If I replace, what do I replace it with? This smilie shit is just irritating now. We should have backed up those settings, screw the database with all the threads and posts ;)

Oh, I didn't know they were for two different things, I was just saying that they are the same image. I barely ever use that one, and could care less if it was there at all. It's just that it's animated, so it sucks having it there twice when I'm using Safari. Either way, it's the same animation.

Now that's a nice collection... although I still wouldn't mind seeing this dude (http://homepage.mac.com/ajsonego/lookatthis/headbang.gif) - to really drive a point home! ;) :hellyeah:

This needs to go up, and soon! That's the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. And I've seen a lot of amazing stuff.

Exactly, :\ makes more sense logically, even though :/ is a little more natural to type.

other forums I've been to use :hmm:

The colon backslash smilie now has his hmmm look in the same direction as the backslash. I can also add a global replacement variable that would allow you to type :hmm: and have the smilie show up as well.... if people would be into that.
