With todays news of the new pm and the reduced cost of the 20 lcd to 799, you can get a pm and lcd for the same price as a high end imac. If apple does not reduce the imac price who is going to pick the high end imac over the pm?

I will, once the iMacs are updated at least.

bottom pm-1499, 20" lcd-799....is more than the 20 inch iMac...

plus some like an AIO, some dont

plus the single PM has a smaller HD, and a worse graphics card and other things less than the soon to be iMac....

but i have thought of that option...but if i did i would bite the bullet and go 2.o dual and 20" lcd

but that is 1999 and 799...some much more than an iMac 20

I have the dual 1.8 and the new 20 cinema display and am very happy. When I got my pm the g5 imac was not out yet but was rumored. I was considering the g4 imac but instead got the pm. I think with the new pm and the price reduction in the lcd other home users may bump up to the pm. A pc can cost $1500 without the screen, this was my first mac and I was willing to spend the extra money.
