Must be a user error, as we cannot reproduce the problem on our end. PEBKAC most likely. Try restarting your web browser, then restarting your computer. If the problem persists, attempt to power cycle your network, and then drink a full glass of water upside down.

Navigating to bookmarked forums at forums.appleinsider.org redirects to forums.applenova.com, but leads you to what appear to be empty forums atm... things seem to work fine if one goes straight to forums.applenova.com 'tho.
Is this just me?

can we get a sunburst behind the word nova...kinda helps explain the name some...or would that be too "upsetting" to the look and theme of the page??
or maybe the "o" in nova can be a sunburst....

yes, but if you combined applerevolution and appleevolution you get an equal vote count as applenova
i still like applerevolution with a revolving apple with a bite out of it as the logo
but take that with a grain of salt substiture as i was the one who suggested applerevolution, so i might be biased

Because everyone is bashing AN. Even though those people are not the majority they are speaking about the poll was rigged that no matter what AN would win. Maybe it just my imagination. I do feel accepted too since so many powerfull people(mods at .com or here) are commenting how great a name it is. I have mixed feelings I guess.

1) We didn't need to rig the poll. The poll wasn't going to decide the name, the poll was there to solicit feedback and get a general idea of what the member's would be happy with. Had AppleNova lost, we still would have picked AppleNova.
2) Would you people please quit ragging on quag/undertaker? It's starting to piss me off now.
3) There are always going to be people that complain, and they are always going to make their voice heard. For instance, when you have a bad experience at a store, you tend to tell a lot of people about it; moreso than when you have a good experience. You cannot please all of the people all of the time, and while we aim to make this a better community than we had at appleinsider.com, we by no means strive to make everybody happy.
Now go change your tampons, and by the end of the weekend we can get back to our regularly scheduled emotions :smokey:

Apparently, it's a commercial venture now, rather than that of the non-profit sort.
I think it just means that if they ever make money off of a T-shirt (assuming money made also covers overhead since AI.org/AN's conception) that they don't have to give it to charity or whatever.
Which I'm completely cool with.

If you're jonesing that much, maybe we should mask the small version into the two p's instead of the o of the logo. More lifelike appearance in stereo pairs. Except for the hanging descender on the p being hard to associate with relevant body parts from that perspective. And the fact that the nova animation makes more sense under the word nova than the word apple.
