I can't wait...I am buying a 15" Powerbook at the end of the week from my school bookstore! After suffering this school year with a winDOZE machine (actually 4 different Dells) I decided to make the switch. I've been hanging around the forum for about a month trying to soak up every bit of information out there, so thank you all for your insight. I don't know what I'm going to do with all the free time I'll have because I won't have to keep rescuing my laptop from problems. Only three more finals to go, then I have an entire summer to play with my Mac! :)

I wish I had money to spend on a 15" but I think I am going to have to go with a 14" iBook. (I'm just waiting for them to update).

Um, unless you do like graphic stuff or photo editing w/20000 photos and iBook and Powerbook are similar. I have an iBook, I was going to get a Powerbook but the APPLE rep talked me outa it. He almost wouldn't let me get a powerbook. It was actually humorous, he was like "Well you don't need a powerbook so lets walk this way to the iBooks, something better for you."

Anyways the point I am trying to make is that if your are switching from PC to ? (cool thing u can do, just learned) it is SO amazing that you'll love it either way. Goodluck with what ever you all get. You'll love it and never doubt your purchase. I haven't.....

IF you get an IBOOK get 768 RAM its real damn fast....

Has anyone gotten good deals on RAM lately? I'm looking at 512MB, but possibly 1GB.

OWC (http://eshop.macsales.com/) has a 1GB sick for $159.99 (http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/add/7625/OWC2700DDRS1GBC/)

Thats a pretty darn good price. I've bought from OWC for years and I've always had a good experience.

Another option is the 1GB Kingston from Outpost - $139... $30 mail in rebate (ends today) could bring it down to $109.
