That is a wholly unanswerable question. Too many factors to be able to say yes or no with any amount of credibility.

But I would just go with a conventional RAM supplier, so you have some safeguards for returns, etc. Many exist that have reasonable prices.

Unless you are building a disposable killer robot on a budget.

Don't buy RAM from eBay, buy it from a reliable reseller like NewEgg.com, Outpost.com, or Macsales.com. Macsales should have an easy way to walk you through choosing a module that is compatible with your PowerBook. At the other two, just remember you're looking for a 1 GB, 200-pin SODIMM rated at either PC2700 or PC3200 speed.

I got a 1 gig stick off eBay and I've had no complaints. I got it from a seller with over 4,000 feedback (100% positive).

I'd recomend checking online price checkers like http://www.pricegrabber.com. But look at retailer's rating and return policy so you dont get burned.

Has anyone tried the link on the ThinkSecret homepage: www.memorytogo.com? The ram is fairly cheap on that site, was wondering what experience anyone has had with them.
