I am sorry if this is posted anywhere. I didn't see a thread about this anywhere. Macrumors has announced and has confirmation that apple will not broadcast the keynote tomorrow. They will not broadcast it to stores normally. This is most likely kills the rumors about imac going G5 at WWDC. But, imac may go G5 in July's keynote.

First of all, MacMinute (http://www.macminute.com/2004/06/27/wwdckeynote) got the confirmation. MacRumors just reposted what they said.

Secondly, what July keynote?

Thirdly, I'm sure there will be a half dozen or so textual play by plays and Apple will post a QuickTime stream either later in the day or within the end of the week.

I was hearing here and other rumor sites that there was a July Macworld Keynote. Sorry, if I was wrong.

I was hearing here and other rumor sites that there was a July Macworld Keynote. Sorry, if I was wrong.Apple is avoiding MacWorld Boston like the plague. They won't even have a booth, much less have Steve deliver a keynote speech. He might speak at the Apple Expo Paris address in September, however...

Update on displays: Now macrumors are saying that the 20" and 23" displays will be the same price currently and the 30" screen is going to be $3000+. In my view for us this is getting worse and worse and worse.

Same price? That goes against every product refresh Apple has done over the last few years. I'm skeptical (or optimistic?) and I think if Apple announces all new displays there will be a price drop.

Yeah, that pricing thing doesn't work for me either. Apple always drops prices on refreshes of products. It's the way things work in tech. Newer stuff sells for less.

All shall be revealed in 10 hours and 20 minutes. No use getting upset over products that haven't even been announced yet: remember how the 2003 MacWorld SF was going to be the worst ever because there were no new products? (Instead Keynote, Final Cut Express, Safari, Apple X11, iLife, AirPort Extreme and the 12" and 17" PowerBooks were all introduced in the space of a couple of hours).

I'm not worried. Heck, Steve promised us a lot of great things this year, and he's never let me down.

Don't bother pointing out that the 3.0ghz thing didn't happen, cause that's hardly a letdown for me. And it wasn't Steve's fault either. :)

Last year the keynote at least had a QuickTime stream -- I don't know if it was broadcast over satellite or not.

May 1999 - Lombard introduction.
May 2000 - OS X DP4 previewed, Public Beta announced.
May 2001 - OS X Server 10.0 announced, 17 inch LCD announced, server configs
May 2002 - Jaguar preview.
June 2003 - Power Mac G5s announced, Panther preview.

All of these were broadcast in some form.

All of these were broadcast in some form. All after the fact, except for WWDC 1999, but this was right after the introduction of QT 4 and Apple wanted to demonstrate the versatility of its new streaming technology. (Note: I'm referring to webcasts only; I have no information on past satellite feeds.)

Six and a half hours to go. Is this site or any other going to do the text play-by-play? I'll be at work so even if there were a Stream it would be wholly inappropriate to watch. :\

Chaosmint usually does the text thing, don't they?
