I am looking for some good financial software to track my spending and portfolio. I don't really care to connect directly to my bank (although it would be a nice feature). If I remember correctly, I have heard only bad things about Quicken. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Quicken has been good for me. If you aren't doing cross-currency stock splits and things like that, Quicken should be particularly good. I think a lot of the problems are with online banking, really sophisticated transactions, and with upgrading from earlier versions.
If others have different opinions, I'd be interested in hearing about it so I'll know what to watch out for.

Doesn't ANYbody search anymore?
I was just thinking that. We get one of these every week. Come on people use it. (http://forums.applenova.com/search.php?)
I used earlier today when I wanted to find a way to remap a key on my keyboard. It is very useful. [/PSA]
Five minutes of simply browsing the Third-Party Products forum, looking at the thread titles, gave me this bunch of existing discussions:
