OK, so I was a bit bored today... So naturally I dismantled my T68i and gave it a coat of black gloss car paint.

Sorry but the Images are over a meg each, direct from the camera - I will edit them later. :D

Does your phone use the same sim card as a Nextel phone? If so do the phone start up if the cards a switched?

Never heard of Nextel. I assume its a phone operator in your area! I have switched the sim in my phone with a few others on more than one occasion. Vodafone, Cellnet (O2) and T-Mobile sims all work no problem.

That's a really cool mod of the T68i. I wanted to do something similar to my T616, but then I realized I have no talent or skills whatsoever.

Nor do I

Its the first time I have used a can of spray paint, and there are some defections in the spray job that the camera doesn't show.

The phone is getting old and I have already promised myself a new one so I was prepared for the worst should I have damaged it in the process. But with a bit of care, a bit of tape over the circuits that cant be removed, and a bit of patience and hey presto - A good finish to make a tired old phone last a few more months.

If you are happy to accept the worst, then give it a go. You might even surprise yourself. Just don't try and do it too quick, you'll just make errors. This simple job took most of Sunday afternoon.

14 Year thread bump! Woo Hoo!

Also, I am sorry for the broken links :-( And for making you download 3MB in 2004. How rude of me.

Anyway, I came looking to grab a screenshot to stick in another forum (mavericks.gg if anyone cares) because I still think this is one of the best forum layouts! :-)
