So I was going to buy a Mac Mini by the end of July; I am doubted now...Should I wait until next year to get the Intel one or just buy the one right now?

wait till the end of July, just like you were planning. There's always the chance the Mini will get a faster G4 or other feature bump by then.

Next year's machine will always be better, Intel or no Intel. However, this year's machine is one you can start using NOW. This fundamental principle of computer-buying has not been changed one bit by yesterday's announcement.

No, it's not dead. Apple is not going to stop supporting current systems, nor is it going to stop updating them until the Intel systems are ready.

Please read this sticky:

Buy now. I bet it will be June 2006 (or maybe a few months earlier) before we see the first Intel based Macs. The only question I have with the Mac Mini is Rev.B...but I dont know when that could be due. I'll leave it to the more informed to answer that. But like I said, you can play the waiting game forever. I waited since September for a PowerBook G5...no luck, so I bought a G4 yesterday....haven't regreted it since! :)
