shipping times?? bto vs no bto

gonna order my iBook any min now. thaught of having the 60 or 80gb hdd. just wondering how many days should I add to the shipping time before i get it? it's already 3-5 days now so??

3-5 days. I've always ordered my computers BTO in some way or another. They most likely have models configured both ways as far as the basic stuff like HDDs go. So it won't take any longer to get to you. It's good that you're getting a big HDD too, you'll never regret that.

When i ordered my BTO PB this past spring the shipping on the standard model was 7-10 days. I ordered on a Saturday and it shipped on Tuesday. I had it by Friday, so i doubt there is any particular reasoning to follow here.

is it often like that? they estimate how many days but its normally quicker?

i ordered pb yesterday - they said 3-4 days processing and up to 7days delivery, but they have allreaddy sent me an email confirming the order and saying its been processed etc

I have no idea if this is typical. I was just sharing my experience. I wish I had that many Apple shipments coming to my house to get you a firm answer.
