Need new battery for powerbook, any options better then Apples?

My wifes 12inch PowerBooks battery is messed up. In Tiger it says that the battery has 20 hours worth of charge but it usually doesnt last longer then 20 minutes. Also when you press the button on the battery for the lights... it never lights up.

So we need a new battery. i was searching Amazon and I found powerbook batteries by other companies other then Apple, and they are around 30$ cheaper. Are these just as good? Or should i be safe and get the official Apple battery?

generally the third-party batteries are as good or better, depending on brand.
