At 12:00 AM EDT Massachustes will start issuing marriage licenses to homosexual couples.

I for one am preparing for the end of the world.

:p

EDIT: I should also mention that tomorrow, the day that the licenses are being issues, is the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling in Brown V Board of Ed.

now this is more like it....

Nytimes (http://nytimes.com/2004/05/16/national/16MARR.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1084760410-/P91k4AWr3bUpnOirBvZYw) article about how the religious leaders behind the anti-gay marriage ban/amendment are failing (for some unknown reason  ) to get the people in the pews to protest loudly...

I find it funny that they suggest that the scenes of marriages will cause people to become more vindictive against these unions...

yeah for them...god bless...makes me want to divorce my wife of 19 years and go out an marry the pool boy....

truthfully though, love is a rare and precious gift... if people are lucky enough to find it, they should be able to marry or whatever they chose.

Yes, but where does it stop? Next thing you know, the government will require every citizen to marry a kitchen appliance!

Even so, big joy for all those that can tie the knot now. Anybody that got to see the folks in line in SF waiting to get hitched know how sweet and loving and joyous the whole deal is.
