Why is my clock so weird?

Why the blue buggering Hades is 'Show am/pm' greyed out in my Date and Time panel in system preferences? I don't want a 24 hour clock.

Just got a new computer. Being weird. Need help. Help me.

"Show AM/PM" and "Use 24-hour clock" are not mutually exclusive. Redundant, yes. Silly, even stupid, sure.

But one can have it say 18:04 PM if they really wanted to.

However, I don't know why your button is grayed out, sorry.

Actually, "show AM/PM" is mutually exclusive with the 24 hour clock. (but only with regards to the international settings option)

Go to your international settings, and reset the clock to 12 hours. AM/PM will be available again.
