+1. I’m super late to this (don’t come around much these days), but I completely agree. My SE is doing fine so far, thankfully, but 3 years in, I’m getting nervous. Since they killed the SE, Apple hasn’t made a phone that
- Can be comfortably used in one hand
- Doesn’t have a notch
- Sits flat on a table without a case (no camera bump)
- Has a headphone jack
This is an
absurd state of affairs.
(While a headphone jack is optional for daily life, I need to be able to plug in for low-latency monitoring when using a Lightning mic.)
Ultimately, though, it’s about size. I absolutely do not want anything larger than the SE. Honestly, even that is a little on the tall side. Something between the iPhone 4 and 5/5s/SE size would be perfect.
