I was thinking, and I can always use raw materials directly for the casino. So don't worry about it not functioning if we don't have currency. Of course, that means I have to make it for-profit

As far as currency goes, the reason I thought it would be a cool idea is it would mean that there would be a store to buy rare/unobtainable materials and it would facilitate trade between players. But maybe its just more trouble than its worth. I can see how it could potentially be a lot of hassle for the ops.

I envisioned things like a big store ran by Brad where you deposit slimeballs to get materials from dispensers. Again, honor system. Brad would redistribute the slimeballs however he wants to. It means we can all self-serve for nether materials without having a big building full of free stuff in the middle of Bridgeport. I also envisioned everyone having small shops outside their homes so we can put materials up for sale and other players would have access to them (example: I have tons of lapis which robo could have "bought" from me) even when you're not online.

And I get where 709 is coming from. I feel weird asking for materials willy-nilly, unless I've lost something due to server glitching. But I want glowstone/soul sand/netherrack, as well as easier access to red and black dye.

Logic, logic, logic. Logic is the beginning of wisdom, Valeris, not the end.
