I'm with Mac Donald on this one (perhaps not as extreme). I'd be pissed if I were your buyer. You made the mistake, you should have to deal with the consequences. Whether that be buying a powerbook that'll possibly be updated or waiting without a computer, that's the consequence. It's no longer YOUR computer to hold on to. You're using someone else's computer, without his permission.
Shame on you. You should let the buyer out of your contract and refund his money. And hope you don't get negative feedback (though you should).
If it's not red and showing substantial musculature, you're wearing it wrong.
