I'm going to be in the market for a new iMac in the summer time frame, but I can hold out until the end of the year if I need to. I've been waiting fo an industrial design change before I pull the trigger. Hopefully, this is this year. I sold my 2011 MB Pro, and my 2012 Mac Mini is not handling Catalina well (although I think that is because of all the miscellaneous fluff that's been migrated over the years—the next system will be starting from scratch). It's definitely time, but I'm waiting for Apple to release the
right computer. QC i5, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Retina display, 21", $1500-ish. I can get pretty close to that right now, but waiting for the design refresh.
