It's all wild speculation, of course, but I keep seeing the term
kompromat being used over and over again lately as an explanation for why many business, financial, and political leaders may not actually impose meaningful sanctions like blocking or withholding assets and contracts. I'd
love to see some of the supposed blackmail material actually surface to the public eye, but I seriously doubt any of it would get that far.
