Maybe you could try this: just say, okay, I will sit down and work for
one hour ONLY.
That way, you could get an hour's worth of work done, without committing to working the entire evening.
Then, of course, there's the off-chance you'll get caught up in your work and continue with it. But if not, at least you'll have gotten an hour's worth done.
Btw, I speak as a person who can procrastinate about something for *years*!!!
