Yeah, my favorite set of headphones (well the ones I use for 'on the go') had a big square jack. There was
no way to carve that. I did carve the cheap-o aux-in wire (for the car) that I bought from walmart, that worked okay for a while. I never did buy an adapter either, my phone was too small to carry any meaningful amount of media on it. But now, with the 3G [S] my troubles are all behind me.
