Last time I wanted to punch a relative was a wedding where we were sitting next to a Trumper... In fairness to Trump, this guy was a dick well before the Orange one encouraged his ilk, but he was particularly gleeful about his usual bigotry on this occasion and it didn't go too well for either of us. For my part, my general smart-ass-ed-ness earned me a few kicks under the table from my wife. I find a lot of big family get togethers or holidays often have an element at play where someone has to decide to tolerate a level of ideological shitiness just to keep the peace, and I'm not sure that's always the right move.
