Samsung is pretty good, and ViewSonic has some good values in their midrange to upper end line.
Don't buy the cheapest model available if you can avoid it. Try to go at least one model up into the midrange.
A big box place like Best Buy or CompUSA might be your best bet to insure an exchange if you get bad pixels, especially if you discuss it prior to purchase.
