It's rumored that Dwayne Johnson aka "The Rock" is involved in some capacity. The only thing I like about the film so far is that Karl Urban is definitely in some role, which might be The Doom Guy's.
I agree that Doom movie done right would have potential. If the script remained approximately true to the original games and the director was even slightly decent at action/horror, it'd be a better-than average movie at worst, great one at best.
