ok, ok, enough with the wise cracking
were both headlights out on the low beams? and when you replaced them, did they turn back on with no problems? if they did, then i'd just say its a coincidence, if not, i'd start checking fuses and probably have it checked out
Note that most cars try not to put head lights on fuses but rather a thermal breaker. This way your lights will flicker rather than just go out.
