Interesting and well-composed photo Dorian. It evokes one of the great mysteries and sadnesses of modern life: the single sock that comes back out of the laundry.
And no it does not look or feel too dark - at least not the way that it displays on my MBP monitor. That said, my screen's brightness settings are high (maybe too high, sometimes leading to my own photos processed on the MBP looking a bit dark on other monitors or when printed; I should make some adjustments for that: one of the frustrations of digital photography is that it is so 'monitor dependent').
And yes, I do like the Evan's dog photo. Nicely composed and
very well processed.
