The small truck thing is why I ordered a Ford Maverick Hybrid. Hoping it will be a good vehicle. The Ranger isn’t a small truck, nor is a Tacoma/Frontier etc. All the midsize trucks are only a few inches shorter and smaller than full size ones these days. Can throw stuff in the back and not have to put stuff into the cabin. Kind of wish they had a two seater version with a bigger bed, but you can’t have everything.
