Four pictures taken on a Rebel XSi. They're 4272 x 2848 and are about 4.5 MB each. The PSD where they are auto-aligned is just shy of 300 MB.
To be honest, I'm not sure why MBP can't process the Photoshop job. I've bumped Photoshop's RAM limits to 100% and it still gives me trouble.
90% of statistics can be made to say anything 50% of the time.
