The iPhone 8 is roughly the same physical size as the iPhone X and 11, so if you don't like that size you will not be happy with the new SE (if it is that form factor). It's a touch smaller, but not much. My first iPhone was a 6 (same size as the 7 and 8), and my second was a X. I had them both at the same time so I was able to compare the physical sizes. The X was taller by a few millimeters.
