No Snowpocalypses here in central NC.
We're already keeping an eye on next weekend's forecast, though, which teases another snow.
We got a nice thick glaze of ice this morning. Apparently there was snow just before sunrise, but it quickly turned to sleet and freezing rain. By the time I got up, our bushes and tree limbs were all bowing deep with the weight of the ice. I heard the tell-tale
HMMZ-POP! sound of power lines and transformers blowing up in the distance a few times this afternoon, but thankfully our power continued uninterrupted. I don't plan to go anywhere until Tuesday, at which point I expect all the roads will have dried up.
