Well, yes and no. It's C code that is very portable, but Apple's AirPort cards do not support the monitor mode that's necessary for this kind of work. The professor himself uses a PowerBook and didn't realize this limitation until I pointed it out to him.
So, he scaled back the project a bit and instead gave us a few sample streams of captured packets to work with.
