I have been considering getting a portable document scanner and figured I would ask for help here, knowing full well that I will be besieged by pitches for units that I have zero interest in buying, accompanied by dissertations about the things that I *really* need to consider when scanning documents.
All I really want is validation.
So, before you unleash your furious typing fingers, here's what I want:
One of those little skinny scanners you run documents through.
They make cordless versions that work off of Wi-Fi and corded versions that do not.
My interest has centered on the Epson and Brother brands, less so on Doxie.
I think that software may be a big part of my decision, and I'm most familiar with Epson.
Versions I have been considering:
DUPLEX
Neither of the two Epson machines possess DUPLEX capability.
The inexpensive Brother does.
DOCUMENT FEED
None of these units have a document feeder - they're manual feed only, and for space saving and infrequency of scanning I think that it's not worth looking at larger units that occupy more valuable space that I'd rather fill with cardboard pirate stuff.
THANK YOU
