If there's $1,200 damage to the bumper, expect someone to offer you somewhere in the area of $2,500 less than what you're asking for the vehicle. I've never used Maaco, but I've never heard anything good about them either. A very good friend of mine in high school used Maaco on an old project car that he was working on and he later showed me two spots where they had painted over bird droppings on the vehicle.
You did her a favor by not calling the police, do yourself a favor by getting your vehicle fixed the right way. It'll save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
