Basically, from my understanding of the reading,
you still have to be eligible for an upgrade before August to get it on launch day. Depending on your monthly bill, you're eligible for a new phone between 12-24 months.
If you bought your 3G on launch day, or shortly thereafter, you're only shaving off a few weeks. If you bought it in August then you're eligible.
I'm not sure about my eligibility. We have a family plan with 5 lines and we pay ~$300 a month. Does that mean 3 people are eligible? None of us because no individual person pays $99/month?
I'm gonna have to go to an AT&T store to figure this out. Further updates as events warrant.
