Oh hush. What would you rather have "lacking" on the $1,199 model? Just 2GB of RAM? A crappy TN panel?
The $1,199 iMac is just fine the way it is. Compared to yesterday's model, it has double the RAM, a 400 MHz (!!!) faster processor, a
much improved display, and IIRC 180GB more hard drive space, too. Plus a wireless keyboard and mouse - a Magic Mouse, no less - is standard.
I expected some of those things, but not all of them! But I suppose there will always be someone who "mehs" any updates...
