Good point. I personally did not enjoy Pulp Fiction, (I have a low tolerance for that type of violence in movies) but it certainly was interesting and compelling moviemaking. Furthermore, it was influential movie-making – something that other directors, the critics and the general public refer to even today. Forrest Gump, on the other hand, seems to have had no influence at all after it stole its undeserved Oscar. People will indeed be scratching their heads.
