This time of year, I assume UPS, FedEx and DHL are running their trucks as much as possible. Everyone's doing the Amazon/online shopping thing more than ever (including my Mom and most of her friends, it seems, all knocking on 70). I've seen USPS trucks tooling around on a Sunday as well (is that a thing now too?).

I'd be happy if they'd put 1-2 of their drivers in the damn building throughout the week, manning the service counter (every time I have to go to the Post Office, it's always a 20-30 minute hurry-up-and-wait-while-some-hyper-chatty-doofus-monopolizes-the-counter-clerk (sending multiple, questionably-packaged boxes all over the planet, telling the clerk an unsolicited backstory for each, paying via check and a quill pen, etc.). And they never seem to notice the 20-30 people piled up behind them, smoke coming out of our ears.
