It's not that easy, unfortunately. I may have to delete the whole chunk if I can't find the entity with some kind of NBT editor. I'll give this a shot today. Exactly
where are you (nether or overworld? coordinates?) when it crashes?
I'll also see if it's possible to disable crafting of scarecrows to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.
