It doesn't completely replace an OEM infotainment system. It's literally iPhone mirroring with a bit of reformatting. See the
Volvo demo video for more detail. Almost all modern cars have some form of iPhone integration, so this is a natural extension of that.
I guess Ford SYNC is a little bit stickier since it behaves like Siri already and has been received well by car owners. MyFord Touch, in contrast, is dreadful.
