There's no Java on the iPad, and the client application is wholly built around downloading and running various jars. That's a huge change and undertaking, and because of that I highly doubt we'll see a full iPad version soon. I'd like to see it happen, but I'll extinguish hopes now rather than experience a slow let-down.
