Thank you very much. It would have been nice to have a few more entries, given that it is a topic that faces us all 3 times a day (more, counting snacks).
But I'll gladly accept this month's award just the same.
That pic was taken just after lunch, with a bean salad that I had put together myself. The photo was actually of the leftover. I took the bowl off of the table and put it on the wooden floor beside the patio door to get just a bit more light (the DP1 is not a good low-light camera, and I don't like to use flash). The serving spoon and fork were a wedding gift, I believe - received many years ago now, but still doing their job. The bowl is from a pottery shop in Nova Scotia, in the town where my parents live. I had not thought of the possibility of that being my photo when I served the salad, but after, when it was sitting in the bowl on the countertop, it just looked
right and I ran upstairs to get the camera....
