2013 has been the year I've rediscovered surf/instrumental rock 'n' roll. Pretty much all I've been listening to, starting off back in the winter with the big four-disc Rhino "Cowabunga!" surf anthology, followed by additional iTunes purchases and YouTube viewing. I've discovered all these newer, current bands still doing this stuff.

Branching off from the music itself and learning about the bands, the instruments/gear, the early 60's surf/dance scene, etc. has been great too. Always cool to learn about all the stuff that goes along with the music as well...
