The machine will connect to the web whenever it can and will report its location. If she has admin on the machine she can disable certain things but once it connects to the internet it will do its thing. Likely the company has a custom profile that will limit the ability to change some settings.
Personally I've not used a Faraday Bag but good ones do work. The best I would say is have your friend read reviews about them and "trust" those reviews. Unless she can connect the "Find My" to her iCloud account. Then she can test it herself by bagging it in a known location and moving it to another location and see if it follows.
