Just tell them you're interested in canceling your plan a the end of your current contract, that usually makes them sit up and take notice. If not, you may be SOL, you signed the contract, you're in it until it expires. Someone may have made a mistake in telling you that it was January when it expired, unfortunately, there's little you can do about that.
