Judging by the feedback here, the lack of a built-in web-cam seems like a serious omission. Skyping with the kids would be just as important as web-surfing and e-mail, as far as I am concerned. Video-Skype capability would make the iPad a no-brainer. Now it's just going to be a useful, but far from perfect device.
